EGFR Positive Lung Cancer UK posted on X:
“In our 2024 Members’ Survey (the largest UK survey of people with EGFR+ lung cancer) 1 in 5 said they had no symptoms before diagnosis.
Among those who did notice symptoms, the most common were: Cough (34.2%), breathlessness/tight chest (26.1%), and back pain (21.4%).
48.3% had some type of musculoskeletal as one of their first symptoms.
Early diagnosis is so important for lung cancer and wider awareness of early symptoms is key.”
