Key Meeting at ASCO Lays Groundwork for Global Cancer Fund – ECO

The European Cancer Organisation (ECO) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“The European Cancer Organisation (ECO) leadership with our CEO Elisabetta Zanon participated in a game changer stakeholder meeting setting the stage for establishing the Global Cancer Fund. Our meeting, taking place during the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Congress in Chicago, brought together key international stakeholders to consider five possible investment areas that will shape to future of cancer care.
ECO President Professor Dégi László Csaba highlighted the importance of budgeting National Cancer Plans and strengthening Comprehensive Cancer Institutes in applying people centered cancer care and the WHO meaningful engagement framework. He also emphasized the importance of addressing the challenge of workforce shortages trough education and mental health support.”
