Douglas Flora: Only $30,000 Shy of my Original $100,000 Fundraising Goal

Douglas Flora, Executive Medical Director of Oncology Services at St. Elizabeth Healthcare and President-Elect of the Association of Cancer Care Centers, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Michele, thank you for sharing! We’re getting so close to this special event, and I’m excited to share that I’m only $30,000 shy of my original $100,000 fundraising goal.

 Why it matters:
The American Cancer Society is the largest non-governmental funder of cancer research in the U.S., investing over $5 billion since 1946. Your contribution will directly support groundbreaking research and patient services in Northern Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Join us on Sunday, August 17th for an unforgettable evening:
5:00 PM | Cocktail Hour & Food Stations
6:00 PM | Program Honoring Dr. Flora
Live music by the Kenny Welch Band to follow!

Here’s how you can help:
Review the sponsorship packet – opportunities available for individuals and companies.
Make a tax-deductible donation – every dollar counts, even if you can’t attend.
Reach out – I’d love to connect if you or someone in your network might be interested in sponsoring, donating, or contributing a live auction item.
Donate a unique auction item – help us create a fun and impactful “paddle war” during the event!

Your support—whether big or small—can make a powerful impact. Let’s fill the room with generosity, hope, and a shared vision of a cancer-free world.

I appreciate the support we’ve already received from so many of my friends and partners, and especially the leadership support from St. Elizabeth Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Physicians—our team will be representing Northern Kentucky well at this event.

Let’s push past this goal together!”

Michele Kenner, Assistant Vice President of Physician Services and Engagement at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, shared a post by Douglas Flora, adding:

“Join Us in Honoring Dr. Douglas Flora and Advancing the Fight Against Cancer

This summer, we have the incredible opportunity to celebrate Dr. Doug Flora, who has been named the 2025 Honoree of the American Cancer Society’s Cincinnati Golf Classic. With this honor comes a bold goal: raising $100,000 to support the ACS’s life-saving mission—and we need your help to get there.
