Douglas Flora Wraps Up COA Conference with Insights on AI and Screening
Douglas Flora, Executive Medical Director of Oncology Services at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Just wrapped an exhilarating few days representing ACCC at this year’s phenomenal COA Conference. Hats off to the organizers—what a powerful, practical, and meaningful program.
I had the honor of participating in two panels: one on AI (yes, surprise!) and another moderating a thoughtful discussion on the oncologist’s role in cancer screening—an area where St. Elizabeth’s Yung Family Cancer Center is fully committed.
I can’t say enough about the people I met—engaged, passionate, and purpose-driven. Thank you to Shiela Plasencia, Ted Okon , Alti Rahman, and especially my digital twin and COA President Debra Patt. To the entire organizing committee—thank you for inviting me to your party.
My biggest takeaway? The future is here. And it’s on us—as cancer doctors and leaders—to empower, advocate, and innovate for our teams and our patients.
A few 17-hour days left me exhausted—but proud. We are making a difference.
Takeaways from other attendees that we should share with readers?”
