Dipesh Uprety: SUPE_R Trial – CT vs. PET/CT Surveillance After Curative Treatment for Stage I-III NSCLC

Dipesh Uprety, Assistant Professor of Thoracic Oncology at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, shared a post on X:

“SUPE_R trial:
  • Patients with stage IA-IIIC NSCLC were randomized to contrast-enhanced CT vs. PET/CT after curative treatment.
  • PET/CT did not improve rates of curatively treated recurrences, time to recurrence and OS.”

“Surveillance with [18F]FDG PET/CT of stage I-III lung cancer patients after completion of curative treatment (SUPE_R): a randomized controlled trial.”
