Today, we honor the legacy of Professor Giovanni Scambia, whose groundbreaking work in gynecologic oncology transformed patient care. In the photos below, you see him harnessing augmented reality to convert CT scans into interactive 3D holographic images in the operating room—paving the way for enhanced planning, intraoperative navigation, and surgical precision.
More than just a brilliant mind, Professor Scambia was a compassionate mentor whose empathy and dedication inspired everyone around him.
