City Cancer Challenge Launched Second Cycle of Cancer Medicines Access Program in Kumasi, Ghana
City Cancer Challenge shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We are proud to announce the launch of the second cycle of C/Can’s Readiness for Access to Cancer Medicines Programme in Kumasi, Ghana, with the support of Amgen.
This programme is designed to address critical gaps in Kumasi’s cancer care system, ensuring the right medicines reach the right patients at the right time. It draws on the success of our work in Asunción, Paraguay, led in collaboration with Direct Relief, and includes:
– Improving diagnostic imaging for timely breast cancer diagnosis
– Renovating key treatment units to meet international standards
– Enhancing safe handling of oncology medicines
– Accelerating digitalisation for multidisciplinary care
– Strengthening the capacity of local healthcare professionalsTogether with the Ministry of Health and local stakeholders, we’re building a stronger, safer and more equitable health system for cancer patients in Kumasi.
