Nairobi Is Helping to Shape a Future Where No One Is Left Behind – City Cancer Challenge
City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“After launching 11 locally-led cancer care projects on 4 July, Nairobi hosted a Gender Consultation Workshop on 11 July as part of C/Can’s global initiative, Cities Taking Action for Gender Equity in Cancer Care (2024–2030).
As one of three global demonstration cities—alongside Tbilisi (Georgia) and León (Mexico)—Nairobi is helping co-develop a blueprint for more inclusive, equitable cancer care.
This work builds on the recommendations of the Lancet Commission on Women, Power and Cancer .
By understanding and addressing the different needs of women in all their diversities —based on their roles, responsibilities, and lived experiences—Nairobi is helping to shape a future where no one is left behind.”
