Charu Aggarwal: ASCO25, 4 Days to Go – Pro Tips
Charu Aggarwal, Leslye M. Heisler Professor of Lung Cancer Excellence at at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, shared a post on X:
“ASCO25, T-4 Pro Tips:
1. Bring a lightweight backpack or tote for your conference essentials — hands-free is best for busy days.
2. Business cards or digital QR codes? Pack both! QR codes speed sharing, but cards still make a memorable impression.
3. I am personally always freezing! Layer your clothes — conference centers can be chilly but outdoor temps may be warm. Dress in versatile layers.
4. Plan downtime: Identify quiet spots in the venue for short breaks to recharge your energy and focus. My personal favorites are spaces + couches outside lounges in the South Building! Share yours!
5.Download offline maps of the conference center to navigate! PS: It is a big convention center!
6. If you’re attending social events, bring a change of shoes, and band-aids!
7. Use note-taking apps synced across devices so you never lose your insights, even on the go. I personally use my handy notes app on my iPhone!
8. Pack snacks that travel well — nuts, granola bars, or dried fruit keep hunger at bay between sessions!
9. Don’t forget your badge and lanyard! Keep them visible for easy access and networking.
