“Croatia Hosts Second Onsite Visit for CCI4EU Deep Dive!
The second of three planned visits in Croatia focused on cancer care infrastructure, clinical research and data interoperability – key steps in strengthening its Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructure (CCI).
A three-day agenda balanced strategy and hands-on engagement:
Day 1 (Zagreb): CCI presentations and workshops to refine a 10-month action plan.
Day 2: Expert teams’ hospitals visits.
Day 3 (Zagreb): Findings were discussed and updates made to the action plan.
Croatia’s CCI aims to connect:
13 hospitals
4 medical schools
2 research institutes
2 public health structures
2 funding institutions
1 umbrella patient association
A joint SWOT analysis identified key opportunities for collaboration and clinical trials.
Key outcomes:
Steps toward formalizing institutional collaboration
Advancing clinical pathways
Assessing accreditation readiness for 5 hospitals
Identifying barriers in clinical research and data management
The 3rd and final Deep Dive visit will follow later this year!”
