Carmen Uscatu Completes St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Master’s Focused on Pediatric Oncology Reform
Carmen Uscatu, Founding Member, President at Give Life, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“‘Marie Curie Hospital opened in 2024 by Give Life as more than a building – this is where fragmentation ends and excellence begins. A comprehensive cancer center with the infrastructure to deliver integrated care, it is also a blueprint for cultural change.
But infrastructure alone will not save lives. Systems do. Systems forged by a mindset that rejects ‘good enough.’ To close the survival gap, we must rewire how care is delivered – from protocol to policy, from mindset to action.’
Three minutes. That’s all we get to share one year of work for the thesis.
I worked for two years in the Master in Global Child Health at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The beauty is that this master is not abstract science. It’s a roadmap to real change in pediatric oncology.
Grateful to my committee of my thesis, grateful to my professors, and my teammates.
Proud of myself for the hard work. Energized and inspired for a new step forward.”
