Carmen Monge-Montero: Celebrating a Milestone – our 100th Video on MANO

“Celebrating a Milestone: Our 100th Video on MANO!

Today is a special day for our MANO community! We’re celebrating our 100th video, and we couldn’t have reached this milestone without the support and strength of each person who’s been part of our journey.

In our latest video, we reflect on how MANO started, what we’ve achieved, and our mission to amplify the voices of those with lived cancer experiences.
Here are some highlights of what we’ve built together:

74 people from across the globe have shared their stories with us, representing 36 countries and all ages, from 19 to 80, diagnosed as early as 2 years old.
We’ve discussed 15+ types of cancer and treatments—from the common to the rare, including metastatic cancers.
With 80,000+ views and a wealth of comments, we’re honored to know MANO has resonated with so many people.
Through 25 videos, we’ve covered emotional, physical, and social effects of cancer, featuring heartfelt discussions with professionals and insights from my personal journey.

MANO began with a simple goal: to create a supportive space for the cancer community. Thanks to all of you, it’s grown into something much bigger. MANO began as my personal project four years ago to connect with cancer survivors across Latin America. After talking with survivors from every country in that region, we decided to expand globally. We started with Spanish interviews, and now we are also doing them in English.

To everyone who’s trusted us with their story or supported us from afar—thank you. Thank you A Fresh Chapter for motivating me to make this project and Youth Cancer Europe for introducing me to cancer advocacy.

Here’s to the next 100 videos and the stories yet to be told.”
