“Online guidance for sports after cancer treatment
An international group of researchers is conducting innovative research into rehabilitation after cancer with remotely supervised group training with the LION study. In this study, patients train from home three times a week, under the supervision of specialized oncology physiotherapists. The training courses for Dutch patients are broadcast at the Netherlands Cancer Institute.
The aim of this research is to look at how exercise can contribute to reducing symptoms after cancer, such as fatigue, nerve pain (neuropathy), emotional stress and reduced physical functioning. Patients who suffer from one or more of these complaints and have completed treatment between 3 months and one year ago are eligible to participate. The recruitment of patients for this trial is still open.
For more information and updates on the study, please visit.”

“Important research into the role of exercise/sports after cancer treatment! What can patients do themselves in their recovery and how? This is being investigated in the international LION study.
See below for more information and which patient groups are affected.”
