“There were an estimated 18.1 million cancer survivors in the United States as of January 1, 2022. These cancer survivor numbers are projected to reach 21.6 million by 2030 and 26 million by 2040. Among the population of cancer survivors, 70% have lived for 5 years or more after diagnosis. The prevalence of long-term survivors is expected to increase through 2040.
