“Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 100.
Over the past decade, immunotherapy has catapulted into the public consciousness as an innovative avenue for treating cancer, due in large part to President Carter’s successful treatment, following his diagnosis with metastasized melanoma in 2015.
His courage to be so open with his cancer diagnosis was instrumental in introducing immunotherapy to the broader public. Discover how President Carter’s legacy includes shining a spotlight onto the power of immunotherapy.”
