National Cancer Institute of Kenya Invests in Capacity Building for Cancer Research
National Cancer Institute of Kenya shared the following on X:
“Over the last 3 days and going on for the next 3 months, NCI Kenya technical officers underwent Clinical Trials Investigator Program Training at Aga Khan University Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi.
These are efforts in building capacity at National Cancer Institute of Kenya to lead in conducting cancer research in Kenya.
Kenya prides now to be contributing to the global pool of knowledge through clinical trials and other research.
In attendance was Dr. Elias Melly, CEO NCI Kenya, Prof. Mansoor Saleh, Founder of Clinical Research Unit & Lead Faculty at CITP. Other faculty members included Prof. Chite Asirwa, CEO, International Cancer Institute and Prof. Zohray Talib from the University of Carlifornia Medicine, USA. The training saw ten officers from NCI Kenya trained, as the mentorship continues.”
