President of Cairo University visited the Breast Cancer Hospital (NCI – New Cairo)
Emad Shash, General Manager of the Breast Cancer Comprehensive Center of the National Cancer Institute at Cairo University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Yesterday, we were honored by the visit of Prof. Mohamed Samy Abdelsadek, President of Cairo University, to the Breast Cancer Hospital (NCI – New Cairo), where he inaugurated the new expansions of the outpatient complex, including additional surgical clinics, a pain management clinic, follow-up and evaluation unit, and a physical therapy unit – with a total investment of 21 million EGP.
These expansions represent a significant step forward in enhancing patient care and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety for our breast cancer patients. The new specialized pain clinic is expected to serve over 6,900 patients annually, and soon, the physical therapy unit will provide comprehensive rehabilitation and lymphedema care.
The hospital was also equipped with a state-of-the-art CT scanner with AI technology, a nuclear medicine gamma camera, and an ultrasound machine, adding tremendous value to our diagnostic capabilities.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to my team and to Prof. Mohamed Samra, Dean of the National Cancer Institute, and Prof. Dalia Kadry, General Director of NCI Hospitals, for their continuous support and contribution to this achievement.
We are proud to witness how the Breast Cancer Hospital is growing into a leading center providing comprehensive and holistic care for breast cancer patients – from diagnosis to rehabilitation – in alignment with global standards.”
