Breast Cancer Diagnoses In Women Under 50 Are Rising and Are Often More Aggressive – BCRF
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Breast cancer diagnoses in women under 50 are rising and are often more aggressive.
Celebrities like Jessie J and Katie Thurston have openly shared their diagnoses, echoing what researchers are seeing: young women are being diagnosed more often, and many aren’t eligible for routine screening.
“It’s like this great big puzzle of all these different factors that can contribute to why we see these cancers behave the way they do,” said Dr. Virginia Borges, a BCRF investigator. “We need more data to better tailor our treatments towards younger women.”
