Brandon Mahal: Talent knows no borders
Brandon Mahal, Vice Chair and Residency Program Director at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared a post on X by Matt Spraker, Radiation Oncologist at the University of Washington, adding:
“Talent knows no borders. At the University of Miami, we consider all applicants equitably—this is a key differentiator for our program. We’re confident in our ability to identify talent and committed to training and attracting the best applicants. There are many stellar apps across the board!”
Quoting Matt Spraker’s post:
“Do you think DOs and IMGs are considered in an equitable way by training programs?
That is the real question IMO as the number of these types of applicants continues to rise.
I suspect no based on prior conversations. One of those is actually a TAP podcast.”
