Ashutosh Mishra: All India Institute of Medical Sciences Has New Robotic Breast Surgery
Ashutosh Mishra, Associate Professor of Surgical Oncology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“‘Robotic Breast Surgery – A New Chapter’
Excited to share that we have successfully initiated Robotic Breast Surgery in the Department of Surgical Oncology (IRCH), All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India.
Now we are routinely performing Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy (NSM) with Direct-to-Implant Immediate Breast Reconstruction (IBR) using the robotic platform.
Key Advantages:
- Enhanced skin flap viability
- Minimal tissue traction
- Precise dissection with better visualization
- Eliminates the need for lighted retractors
- Enables faster recovery for patients
- Reduces back strain for surgeons during lengthy procedures
Grateful to Prof Sunil Kumar, and all my colleagues for their continued support and collaboration.”
