Aruni Ghose: OncoFlow to evaluate AI models across the cancer continuum for clinical adoption
Aruni Ghose, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of OncoFlow and Clinical Fellow at Barts Health NHS Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“There is an AI Explosion in Cancer Care.
We have a multitude of AI Models transforming Diagnostics – Radiology, Pathology, Genomics + Therapeutics – Clinical Trials + Prognostics – Survival Outcomes and Treatment Toxicity Predictions.
Every model is great with ‘>90% success’ stories and skyrocketing AUC/AUROC performance curves.
In a sea of multiple models in the same sectors, be it academic or industry achieving similar, which one do we Adopt and Implement in the Clinical Setting – should we choose to standardise or remain fragmented?
As creators of Clinically Safe, Responsible AI in Cancer Care at OncoFlow with Maryam Hasanova, informing the UK Government courtesy Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and Department of Health and Social Care, we will be commissioning a Series of Systematic Reviews evaluating Evidence Based Performance of AI Models (ML DL LLM NLP ANN CNN) across the Cancer Continuum from Risk Prediction to Cancer Treatment – this is to inform AI, Clinical, Operational, Financial, Regulatory, Commissioning Stakeholders across the Cancer Continuum.
If anyone is interested in a Conference Abstract or Publication, looking for a Summer Internship in Cancer STEM, or you are an Industry or Academic Collaborator who want to join us, please feel free to get in touch with me via DM or email at [email protected] (or simply dial +447570839307)
Aaditya Tiwari from Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust and Barts Cancer Institute (Queen Mary University of London) is building an AI in Cancer Care in Clinic Portfolio and will be leading these projects.”
