Arunah Chandran: The Access Cancer Care India team meeting at the Annual PI Conference
Arunah Chandran, Public Health Officer, Equity and Diversity Officer, IARC/WHO, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We’ve come a long way and grown together along the way!
The Access Cancer Care India team is meeting for the 4th time at our Annual PI Meeting, this year in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Over the next two days, we’ll be:
- reviewing findings from the formative phase
- refining our implementation strategies
- celebrating milestones, and
- planning our evaluation approach.
It’s always a highlight of the year to reconnect with this passionate and growing team, not just in size, but in shared commitment and impact.
Proud to represent IARC alongside Dr Partha Basu and Dr Sathishrajaa Palaniraja at this important meeting. Thank you to Dr Swaminathan Rajaraman for hosting us.
Here’s to another year of progress in making cancer care more accessible across India.”
Partha Basu, Head of the Early Detection, Prevention, and Infections Branch at the International Agency for Research on Cancer/World Health Organization (IARC/WHO), shared this post on LinkedIn, adding:
“Brilliant work by all our collaborators in India with able guidance from Dr. Arunah Chandran, Dr Kunal Oswal, Dr. Ishu Kataria and Dr. Sathish Palaniraja.
The implementation research is going to evaluate different models of implementing HPV detection tests and navigation of screen positive women in Indian rural settings.
A randomised trial evaluating a ‘lived experience’ video to improve screening participation will also be part of the study.”
