“GREAT SUCCESS FOR “EXERCISE ONCOLOGY“.
I am thrilled to share that the pioneering event “EXERCISE ONCOLOGY” was held TODAY with extraordinary success at the Gemelli University Hospital Foundation IRCCS in Rome!
This event marked an important step forward in the integration of physical exercise as a standard of cancer care, bringing together experts, patients and professionals in an extremely fruitful multidisciplinary dialogue.
The innovative vision of Prof. Gianluca Franceschini, Director of the Breast Unit, and Stefano Magno, Head of the Integrated Center of the A. Gemelli University Hospital Foundation IRCCS, made it possible to create an event that truly inaugurated a new paradigm of integrated care.
Prof. Massimo Di Maio, AIOM President-elect, brilliantly led the work as an expert “chronicler” of the path, perfectly embodying the example of a scientist who lives on physical activity and promotes exercise in cancer prevention and treatment.
The lectio magistralis by Prof. Bente Klarlund Pedersen on “Exercise as Medicine – focus on cancer” offered enlightening insights that greatly enriched the day.
It was exciting to see the response and active participation of everyone present through the 5 fundamental stages of the path.
