“Today is my 50th birthday. The past 6 months have brought a lot of change – the loss of both my father and father-in-law and embarking on a new chapter in my career. There have been moments of deep sadness, fear as to whether I am up to the challenge.

But I realize I am stronger than I knew and more sure of myself than ever before. Most of all, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue working alongside a vast army of friends and colleagues around the world as we work to improve the lives of those impacted by cancer. Not everyone is lucky enough to make it to 50 – we still have much work to do.”
