Amil Družić: The European School of Oncology’s Improving Cancer Outcomes and Leadership Course in Zagreb
Amil Družić, Oncology and Radiotherapy Resident at the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We were proud to represent the Oncology Clinic of the Clinical center University of Sarajevo at the European School of Oncology Improving Cancer Outcomes & Leadership Course in Zagreb — a truly inspiring training focused on reducing inequalities and improving cancer care across Europe.
Together with my colleague Dr. Emir Sokolović, we shared some of the work being done in our center.
I presented our experience joining the International Watch & Wait Registry to support organ preservation in rectal cancer, while Dr. Sokolović presented our initiative on creating a Nutritional Support Hub, showing how we are working to provide more holistic, supportive care throughout treatment.
This unique training course was chaired by:
Prof. Alexandru Eniu, Prof. Razvan Popescu, Prof. Peter Selby, and Tanja Spanic, and supported by a stellar faculty including Mark Lawler, Tit Albreht, Assia Konsoulova, Richard Sullivan, Ajay Aggarwal, Kathy Oliver, Matt Hickey, Eduardo Pisani, Steven Pavletic, David Nelson, Alessandro Pace, and many more who stayed with us every step of the way.
A heartfelt thank you to the European School of Oncology, Alberto Costa, and the dedicated organizing team Corinne Hall and Dolores Knupfer for making this possible.
Grateful to have shared this journey with inspiring participants from across Europe — we return motivated, connected, and ready to drive change together.”
