Alessandro Gronchi: A successful meeting of the Transatlantic Australasian RetroPeritoneal Sarcoma Working Group
Alessandro Gronchi, Chair of the Department of Surgical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute of Milan, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Another successful meeting of the Transatlantic Australasian RetroPeritoneal Sarcoma Working Group on the occasion of the annual meeting of the Society of Surgical Oncology.
John E. Mullinax is a wonderful host. An overview of the achievements of the past years to brainstorm about the current and future endeavors.
A thorough discussion about the prospective registry RESAR: overall, over 3000 patients included; actions to improve the quality of the collected data even further; timing of data submission; the importance of the consecutiveness of the patients. Surveillance is the first randomized registry-based study.
A framework agreement to share omics data. New studies on the Horizon, such as ReLapse. Discussion about the status of STRASS2 and STREXIT2. Brainstorm about the next RESAR studies and STRASS3.
Lots of interactions and enthusiasm as always. It’s fantastic to see how this global collaboration moves forward and becomes stronger and stronger over the years!”
