Adekemi Oyewusi: Nigeria’s First Childhood Cancer Conference, hosted by the Bricon Foundation
Adekemi Oyewusi, TMO Project Coordinator at One Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It was an incredibly insightful experience attending Nigeria’s First Childhood Cancer Conference, hosted by the Bricon Foundation. I had the privilege of serving as a panelist for the session titled The Power of Lived Experience Through Story telling.
Key points from my speech as a childhood cancer survivor emphasized the importance of cancer champions owning their identity to transform the narrative.
Our struggles must not be silenced, they need to be shared and embraced to inspire change and foster understanding.
Special thanks to Abigail Simon-Hart and Denise Ejoh for your efforts and making this a reality.”
