Paul Fenton: It was wonderful to attend Icon Cancer Centre – Australia and New Zealand’s fifth annual GP CPD Conference
Paul Fenton, CEO of Cancer Services Australia and New Zealand at Icon Cancer Centre, made the following post on LinkedIn:
“It was wonderful to attend Icon Cancer Centre – Australia & New Zealand’s fifth annual GP CPD Conference and welcome more than 100 general practitioners, cancer care specialists, and hematologists to Icon’s pinnacle education event. The weekend covered important updates in screening, and the latest treatment developments, and facilitated important relationships across the clinical care continuum.
Icon Cancer Centre is committed to reducing the cancer burden and believes that quality cancer care is only possible through strong partnerships. Australia’s primary care network plays a critical role in the coordination of a cancer patient’s care – from screening and early diagnosis, through treatment, and into survivorship or end-of-life care.
We are committed to supporting this important partnership and working together with our primary care partners to enhance the delivery of a patient’s care, through education, improved referral pathways, and strong communication. As part of this commitment, we run regular oncology education sessions across Australia for both doctors and nurses.
Thank you to our Platinum Sponsors, Novartis, Pfizer, and Varian Asia Pacific, Japan & India for your continual support in the delivery of this conference. We appreciate your partnership.
Thank you also to our Diamond Sponsors, The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, Mundipharma, Palette Life Sciences, Qscan Group and Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, and trade sponsors, Merck Healthcare and Lumus Imaging.”
