Selwyn Vickers: As we recognize Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I’d like to acknowledge and thank our team at MSK Kids.
Selwyn Vickers, President and CEO of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center recently shared on LinkedIn:
“As we recognize Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I’d like to acknowledge and thank our team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) Kids. Every person at MSK Kids is dedicated to caring for children and teens with cancer, as well as supporting their families through their treatment and beyond.
Our expertise in cancer and blood disorders spans from the most common to the most complex, making MSK Kids uniquely positioned to care for young people with cancer. In fact, MSK was the first hospital in the nation to receive the American College of Surgeons’ Children’s Surgery Verification (CSV) Quality Improvement Program Level I Specialty Children’s Center in Oncology designation.
We also know there is still work to be done. With programs focused on pediatric translational medicine and genetics, our researchers are at the forefront of the newest treatments for childhood cancers.”
