Leandro Duarte: The City Cancer Challenge Needs Assessment
Leandro Duarte, City Manager at City Cancer Challenge Foundation, shared on LinkedIn:
“During this week, the City Cancer Challenge Needs Assessment took place in Rosario. More than 120 local experts from various fields gathered over five days to discuss the main needs in cancer patient care in the city.
Ending this week with such strong participation from the oncology community in the city shows the extensive efforts and impact of C/Can in Rosario. This was a historic event for both the city and the country. It brought together the entire city, regardless of the health sector or specialty, to join the discussion.
Over 100 needs were identified, including technical equipment, human resources, training and education, quality management, and access barriers, among others. Only City Cancer Challenge can drive this level of engagement and provide the necessary platform for such events to take place in cities, transforming local realities.
Now that we know what Rosario needs, more challenges and opportunities lie ahead as we continue building a more equitable healthcare system for everyone.
A huge thank you to the amazing professionals who shared their knowledge and support with us. It’s an honor to be part of such a caring and professional team Alfredo Polo and Martha Ordoñez, thank you for being here!
And all of this was possible thanks to your leadership and support, Maria F Navarro. Your backing at every step has been invaluable. Thank you so much!”
