”The power of women! What an incredible weekend at the Best of Lung with Total Health | Oncology. Many experts are in Singapore this weekend for World Lung, and we had a beautiful thought leader meeting in Palm Beach. It seems like the energy of this weekend was all about advancing education in lung cancer, the third most common cancer—and the one more people die from than any other! So much work still to do, especially in precision medicine, but the advancements are inspiring!
The thing that spoke to me was just how many women we give a platform to in education! We are the largest provider of free cancer CME in the US. The impact of this includes:
- unique perspectives through the eyes of a woman in medicine,
- normalizing Women of Color and every age and practice geography at the podium,
- celebrating how far we have come since Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, where women now represent the majority of medical school students.
I love being a woman entrepreneur and prioritizing gender equality at podium.
