Roupen Odabashian: Insurance companies – one of the reasons physicians get burned out
Roupen Odabashian shared a post on LinkedIn:
“One of the reasons physicians get burned out! /
Thirty-five minutes waiting on the line with insurance company because they refused guideline-directed medical therapy for one of my patients.
This was the reason:
‘The nurse reviewing the case stated she saw an issue with single-agent use, which is why she escalated it further.’
After 35 minutes of waiting, they told me that they will schedule me for an appointment for a peer to peer review because they couldn’t do it immediately given I am in a different time zone!!“
