Anna Avagyan: From first International Congress on Pediatric Oncology and Hematology to EHA2024

“June has been an incredible month full of meetings and travels. I haven’t even had time to share it all with you!
The month kicked off with a fantastic meeting in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, at the 1st International Congress on Pediatric Oncology and Hematology.
I am deeply grateful to Gevorg Tamamyan and the HFC Armenia for giving me this chance to connect with the regional community, discover new collaboration opportunities, and share knowledge and ongoing projects. A big thank you to the organizers, Dr. Djamila Polatova and Dr. Alisher Kahharov, for putting together such a remarkable event. Best of luck with your future initiatives!
Following that, my next stop was the EHA2024 Congress in Madrid, Spain, which proved to be both productive and memorable, leaving me with the warmest memories. Engaging with the YoungEHA committee, participating at YERM, contributing to Young EHA sessions, and the new Mentorship program were highlights.
Additionally, working with the EHA Specialized Working Group on Pediatrics, we laid out exciting plans for the European pediatric hematology community. More details to come soon!
Now, I’m gearing up for SIOP Asia in Yokohama, Japan, and looking forward to the experiences ahead.”
