“Yesterday ended on a beautiful high note. I love making connections everywhere I go. I love it even more when people share resources or have their friends or family members reach out to me. A little conversation at ASCO24 about financial toxicity and how I clawed my way out of it made a huge impact.

For those who follow me on social media know that I end every video by saying ‘you matter.’ I know what it is like to be dismissed by providers, forced to deal with implicit bias and microaggressions, and feel overwhelmed and shame for needing financial help. I reminded this woman that she matters and to always remember that.”
