Douglas Flora: Thank you to all who sponsored and supported our inaugural event
Douglas Flora shared a post by Trish Boh, Executive Secretary to Executive Medical Director of Oncology Services and Directors at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, on LinkedIn, adding:
“Thank you, Trish Boh, for calling out these supporters individually. I didn’t have the entire list of sponsors and had worried I’d inadvertently leave one out.
Thank you to all who sponsored and supported our inaugural event.”
Quoting Trish Boh’s post:
“I’m a bit late posting, but I didn’t want it to go unsaid that the inaugural American Cancer Society Fork Cancer Fundraiser on June 6th was a big success, raising an impressive $140,000!
It was a beautiful summer evening to “Party With a Purpose,” bringing our community together to honor survivors and caregivers and raise funds for research and support.
Thank you Lenora Oeters and Hannah Wallace for your vision and determination!
As a breast cancer THRIVER (a new term I learned from our mission speaker, Leah McCleary), a caregiver during my father-in-law’s prostate cancer treatments, and through my day-to-day interactions in our St. Elizabeth Healthcare cancer centers, I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact of a terrifying cancer diagnosis.
It affects not only the patient but also their loved ones, friends, and colleagues. That’s why I’m incredibly grateful for organizations like the ACS that provide vital services and support.
As always, Douglas Flora was an inspirational and motivational champion for the launch of this event in Cincinnati. Brother, Daniel Flora, and his band, Sudo Nano, provided fantastic entertainment throughout the evening.
Exquisite food was served by some of the best restaurants in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati: Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment, Steve Del Gardo, The Governor, Eddie Merlot’s Prime Aged Beef and Seafood, Coppin’s at Hotel Covington, Lucius Q, Chicken Salad Chick, Dewey’s Pizza, Skyline Chili, Moerlein Lager House Restaurant and Brewery, Valet Coffee, and Livery.
Special thanks to Tastemakers Maggie Biesinger, Nikol Ellison, and Jody Wallace, for their unwavering dedication to reach their fundraising goals. Together, we’re making a difference in the battle!
I’m looking forward to Fork Cancer 2025. Will I see you there?”
