We had a milestone meeting at MSKCC – NSIA-LUTH Cancer Centre

NSIA-LUTH Cancer Centre made the following post on LinkedIn:

“A throwback to 2 weeks ago when we had a milestone meeting at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York. Our Centre Director, Dr Lilian Ekpo, and our Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Medserve – NSIA Advanced Medical Services Limited, Dr Tolulope Adewole, engaged in impactful discussions with leading oncology experts to further our mission of enhancing cancer care in Nigeria and Africa.

We had the privilege of meeting with Dr T. Peter Kingham, Dr Bob Li, and Dr Anaeze Offodile, Chief Strategy Officer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Prof Olusegun Alatise from Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTH), and Dr Vincent Laudone, Chief of Surgery at the Josie Robertson Surgery Center.

Our discussions centred around critical areas including improving access to quality cancer care for Nigerians and Africans, ensuring equitable access to advanced cancer treatments and medications, training and upskilling our multidisciplinary team of specialists—the largest in West Africa, and sharing best practices and innovations in cancer care from around the world.

These strategic collaborations are poised to bring significant advancements in cancer care across Nigeria and the African continent. By partnering with renowned institutions and experts, we are committed to improving cancer treatment outcomes and patient accessibility.

Since its establishment in 2019 by Medserve – NSIA Advanced Medical Services Limited, the NSIA-LUTH Cancer Centre has been at the forefront of bridging the gap in oncology care in Nigeria. In just five years, we have emerged as a model for healthcare financing and operations, dedicated to making quality cancer treatment accessible to all Nigerians.

We are enthusiastic about the future and the transformative potential these partnerships hold for cancer care in Africa.”
