Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: I chaired the Women’s Health Cervical Cancer Session at the 2024 Global Health Catalysts Summit

Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I attended the 2024 Global Health Catalysts Summit in Washington, DC from 7th to 9th June, where I chaired the Women’s Health Cervical Cancer Session. Our session on ‘Advancing Women’s Health: Eliminating Cervical Cancer’, featured insightful discussions from distinguished expert speakers, driving forward the mission to eradicate cervical cancer.

It was a pleasure seeing old friends and colleagues, and making new ones. The powerful presentation by Saraswati Sukumar must be mentioned. Along with those from Robert Breiman Somesh Kumar Martina Möllers, Global Public Health, Pedagogy, M.B.A. Akila Viswanathan. Most impressive work from across the world to advance Womens health.

One word emphasized during the meeting was collaboration. GHC are walking the talk. Win win collabs from Tanzania, Jordan and Uganda were showcased.

Nigeria also flew its flag high. The young catalyst, Medical Physicist Iyobosa B. Uwadiae was truly inspiring and gave me “HOPE”. Listening to her ups and downs, strengths and weaknesses -filled me with pride and a determination to do more for our younger ones.

Kudos to everyone who organized, participated and supported this impactful event, especially Wil Ngwa Stephen Avery M. Saiful Huq PhD, FAAPM, FInstP Vivianne Ihekweazu Lydia A.
