Yolonda Richardson: I’m excited about Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids’ Asia Young Ambassadors Summit YAS2023 which kicked off this week in Bangkok.

Yolonda Richardson, President and CEO at Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and Global Health Advocacy Incubator, made the following post on LinkedIn:

“I’m excited about Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids’ Asia Young Ambassadors Summit YAS2023 which kicked off this week in Bangkok. We have 23 young tobacco control advocates from 8 Asian countries participating in a week packed with learning, network building, and knowledge sharing.

These summits are an incredible opportunity to connect the next generation of tobacco control advocates with current public health leaders. The young ambassadors spent the day at the Thai Health Promotion Foundation where they met with Bungon Ritthiphakdee, Executive Director of the Global Center for Good Governance in Tobacco Control about the ongoing fight to save lives from tobacco across Asia.

Amidst the tobacco industry’s fierce interference in the region, the Asia Young Ambassadors are standing up to Big Tobacco for a Tobacco Free Generation. I can’t wait to see what they accomplish.”
