“Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia 5Chefs dinner in Sydney. The highlight for me was the brilliant and moving speech by Chad McGovern who bravely shared his childhood story and how the magic of Starlight helped him.
It is a privilege to serve as a national board member and support this fabulous organization whose mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children. Starlight is embedded into the fabric of pediatric healthcare in Australia and is an essential service.
Congrats to Louise Baxter and all the Starlight team.”
“Proud dad moment tonight with Chad talking about his journey at the Starlight 5 Chefs dinner in Sydney. Chad received a standing ovation after his speech and had the majority of the audience in tears.
Chad also caught up with his former doctor Professor Tracey O’Brien. Sneaky Sound System lead singer and captain starlights. Wonderful night with $788,000 raised for sick kids to help put a smile on their faces during the hardest time of their young lives.
Thank you Starlight foundation for the wonderful work you do and everyone that contributed to this amazing result.”
