“Today, the European Cancer Organisation (ECO) hosted the ‘Time to Accelerate – Europe Together Against Cancer’ event in Zagreb. This great initiative marked the launch of a new Manifesto, aimed at reducing cancer mortality and curbing smoking across Europe.
This report revealed alarming cancer mortality rates in Croatia, attributed to deficiencies in prevention, screening, and healthcare access inequalities. Something so familiar as in my birth country, Macedonia…
The event highlighted the urgent need for action in combating cancer and addressing these issues, and mobilizing efforts to enhance cancer care and outcomes across the continent.
I’m wondering if there is any real hope that all of these problems, especially in the CEE region, will be solved….”
