Vincent Rajkumar: All the best healthcare is not of value if it is not accessible or affordable
Vincent Rajkumar shared a post on X:
“US healthcare is in many ways the best in the world. We have all the new drugs, tech, facilities, and expertise to deliver the most complex care when it’s needed.
But we need to do better. Racial and economic disparities are vast. Lots of bureaucracy. And it’s way too expensive.
All the best healthcare is not of value if it is not accessible or affordable.
I’d love a system where we can dismantle the massive wasteful spending. And use the savings to provide universal healthcare. We can do it. Because we have the resources.
The public should have the peace of mind knowing that if they fall ill they will be seen quickly, get high-quality care, and don’t have to worry about bankruptcy or losing all their savings due to healthcare costs.
That should be the goal.”
