Joshua Omale: Leading the next leg of our ‘Adopt a School NCDs Project’ at Zololo Secondary School

“Continuing the Journey: Empowering Communities in the Fight against NCDs

Last Friday marked another significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to driving change at the grassroots level. Leading the next leg of our ‘Adopt a School NCDs Project’ at Zololo Secondary School was a poignant reminder of the transformative power of community-driven initiatives.

Nestled in the heart of a remote community in Jos, Nigeria, Zololo Secondary School welcomed us with open arms, embodying the spirit of resilience and hope that defines our mission. As we engaged with students on the vital topic of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), the echoes of our previous outreach efforts resonated deeply. It was a seamless continuation of our collective journey towards health equity and empowermen to fight NCDs.

Our discussions went beyond the classroom, delving into the practical steps individuals can take to prevent NCDs. From lifestyle modifications to early detection strategies, each interaction served as a beacon of knowledge and inspiration for the students—and for us.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the management of Zololo Secondary School for their unwavering support and partnership. Together, we are forging pathways to a healthier future, one conversation at a time.

As I reflect on the impact of our outreach, I want to reaffirm our commitment to the cause. With the generous support of AstraZeneca , SLUM AND RURAL HEALTH INITIATIVE NETWORK and the dedication of our team, we are turning aspirations into action, and visions into reality.

To the students of Zololo Secondary School, your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn fuel our determination to create lasting change. Your potential knows no bounds, and together, we are building a world where health and well-being are within reach for all.

As we continue our journey, let us draw strength from the power of community, the resilience of the human spirit, and the unwavering belief that together, we can make a difference.”
