Olubukola Ayodele: The London Global Cancer Week for tackling cancer inequalities
Aruni Ghose, Editorial Board Member at shared a post by Olubukola Ayodele, Consultant Medical Oncologist at University Hospitals of Leicester Cancer Research Centre, on LinkedIn, adding:
”Olubukola Ayodele aka Bookie is spearheading the London Global Cancer Week (UKI Global Cancer Network) Friday Meeting (15th November 2024) Steering Committee this year and the planning and preparation towards that is stellar. This year’s theme – ‘CANCER HEALTH DISPARITIES: UNDERSTANDING THE INEQUALITY CONUNDRUM’.
Cannot wait!!”
Quoting Olubukola Ayodele’s post:
”It was such a pleasure to receive a recognition award from National Cancer Institute (NCI) for participating in the cancer health disparities ideation workshop in January. Cancer inequalities is a wicked problem that requires a trans-disciplinary approach to tackle it.
On that note, I am delighted to announce the in-person meeting that culminates the London Global Cancer Week on November 15th, 2024. The theme for the day is tackling cancer inequalities, and we already have an array of excellent speakers who will share their expertise on how to tackle this wicked problem. So, don’t plan to miss this meeting.
Also, the Vanessa Moss prize would be up for grabs again this year (more information shortly).”
