Early detection and individualized, targeted treatments are key to achieving superior outcomes.
Ready for a deep dive into Young Lung Cancer? Let’s go!
Patients with Young Lung Cancer are a distinct subgroup. In a cohort of young NSCLC patients <50 years, two-thirds of patients presented at advanced clinical stage (67% at Stage IV).
Lung cancer in never-smokers has increased, especially in women and younger age groups. Research findings:
121 pts <40yrs at dx
73% → never smoked
90% → adenocarcinoma;
Patients with oncogenic mutations (ALK, RET, ROS) likely to be younger at diagnosis.”
