Idah Phiri: I’m delighted to have represented the Zambian Cancer Society at the recent high-level meeting with the WHO

Idah Phiri, Communications and Administration Manager at Zambian Cancer Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I’m delighted to have represented the Zambian Cancer Society at the recent high-level meeting with the World Health Organization (WHO), the Zambian government, and stakeholders dedicated to eliminating cervical cancer in Zambia.

It was an honor to discuss our organization’s efforts in this endeavor. As part of the African Cervical Health Alliance, we’re committed to empowering communities and increasing access to cervical cancer prevention and control across Africa by 2030, aligning with the WHO‘s target.

Let’s prioritize ensuring that our young girls receive the HPV vaccine for prevention.

Together, we’re making significant progress towards achieving an Africa Free of Cervical Cancer.

I was also happy to physically meet Dr. Bente Mikkelsen Director NCD – WHO

It is always humbling learning from the Gurus

Dr. Sharon Kapambwe
Dr. Groesbeck Parham
Dr. Karen Nakawala
Dr. Kamfwa”
