Douglas Flora, Executive Medical Director of Oncology Services at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“After reading the profound book ‘Emperor of All Maladies’, I was struck by how crucial education and messaging are in our battle against cancer. This week, I had the opportunity to engage with some truly dedicated cancer fighters—many of whom run Marketing for their respective systems.

It was great fun to join Sanjay Juneja and Carmen Fong on a panel at the HMPS conference. Our session aimed to help healthcare marketers grasp the challenges physicians face and equip them with tools to empower their physicians to effectively disseminate important messages to patients and communities.

A special thanks to our host, Kirsten Lecky and WG Content for the invitation. This experience allowed me to view our work from a completely different perspective, enriching my understanding significantly at a conference I might not have otherwise attended.

I also appreciate (even more) how great our Marketing and PR team are at home. Without their talent in storytelling, many of our critical programs would not have the success and buy in that they enjoy St. Elizabeth Healthcare.”
