Uri Amit: Is there a dose-response relationship in radiotherapy for HCC tumors?

Uri Amit, a Proton Fellow in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, shared on his twitter the following:

“Is there a dose-response relationship in radiotherapy for HCC tumors?
Our recent study shows that a high Biologic Equivalent Dose improves local control for tumors over 1.7 cm and is paramount for patients with tumors over 5 cm. However, there is no need to dose escalate in smaller tumors.
