Julia Maués: Nice to see a publication on survivorship that focuses on people with metastatic cancer
Julia Maués, Co-Founder of Grasp Cancer, shared a post by Rachelle Brick, Program Director at National Cancer Institute (NCI), on X/Twitter, adding:
“Nice to see a publication on survivorship that focuses on people with metastatic cancer! A person is considered a cancer survivor from the time of diagnosis through the end of life. Yet, the term is often used for those who finished early stage treatment, which is incorrect.”
Quoting Rachelle Brick’s post:
“New publication alert. In Journal of Cancer Survivorship we describe the type and prevalence of survivorship concerns among individuals with metastatic cancer.
Survivorship concerns were higher for individuals unemployed due to disability.”
