Rahul Banerjee: This is fascinating, even if rare
Rahul Banerjee, Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Washington shared a post by Blood Advances on X, adding:
“This is fascinating, even if rare. If you treat the Gaucher’s disease, the plasma cells will regress multiple myeloma. Both cases presented here were well into their adulthood if I ever see the word ‘foamy macrophage’ in a pathology report, I will start paying much more attention!”
Quoting Blood Advances’s post:
“Regression of smoldering myeloma with treatment of Gaucher disease.”
