During the EU integrated care Summer Tour 🌞 🌦 we also visited the best practice of Ulm PRIME-DC day clinic in Germany🤸♂️ 🌻 🦋 🐛 🐞
The centre takes a preventive holistic approach to cance care, considering the whole person and their overall well-being. This includes addressing physical symptoms, emotional distress, social support, and spiritual needs. The centre has a team of healthcare professionals from various disciplines, such as integrated care specialists, medical oncologists and primary care nurses, psychologists, social workers, nutritionists and spiritual counsellors. The collaboration of these experts ensures a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each patient’s unique needs. The entre offers a range of integrative therapies aim to enhance overall well-being, reduce side effects and improve quality of life. The centre provides counselling and support services to help patients and their families cope with the emotional and psychological challenges of cancer diagnosis, treatment and regain normal life such as returning back to work. There are indoor and outdoor fitness and yoga facilities including an exercise garden😃 They offer survivorship programs that provide long-term support for patients after completing their primary cancer treatment.
